Hereford Recruitment Drive is Major Success for Brecon

Over 150 people attended a Hereford recruitment event held by Brecon Pharmaceuticals Ltd, which highlighted the many new job opportunities that are being created by the company's major new expansion programme.

The day-long event was part of Brecon's recruitment drive both to fulfil immediate needs and also to communicate the requirement for up to 100 new employees to work in its new state-of-the-art production and warehousing facility which is being built over the next 12 months and which will double the size of Brecon's existing operation in Hay-on-Wye.

The recruitment day was held at The Green Dragon Hotel in Hereford and the many visitors were able to chat to members of Brecon’s team and to hear more about the company’s expansion programme in a series of short presentations given by Chief Executive, John Bath. Over 30 job applications were completed during the day and Brecon expect many more to follow over the coming weeks.

The company currently attracts its 240 employees from throughout the region - from the Valleys in the South to Leominster in the North. It has developed a strong reputation as a leading employer in the region through the provision of excellent career opportunities, a modern and friendly working environment and good benefit packages for its employees.

Chief Executive John Bath believes Hereford is a key area for new recruits and was very pleased with the high turn-out for the event. He said, "Hereford is only 20 miles from our facility in Hay-on-Wye and we will be offering a subsidised transport link for those who join us from the area. Our visitors were impressed with the wide range of opportunities we have available in the business, from production through to administration. We were delighted with the very positive response we received throughout the day and look forward to filling the many posts we have available."
