Brecon recognised for training excellence

Brecon Pharmaceuticals Ltd has been awarded the "Investors in People" national Standard which sets a level of good practice for training and development of people.

The Hay-on-Wye-based provider of commercial and clinical trials packaging services for the healthcare sector has been an NVQ approved training centre for pharmaceutical packaging since 1994 and employs some 220 staff at three sites.

Chief Executive, John Bath, says: "We are delighted with this recognition as training is core to our philosophy. People are at the heart of our business and the award of the Standard confirms our commitment to the highest levels of staff development."

Des Preece, Training and Standards Development Manager comments: "The assessment to achieve the Standard is very thorough and its principles must be applied to every single member of staff, irrespective of their role. The culture of continuous improvement is vital to maintain the Standard and fortunately Brecon has a history of operating in this manner".
