BRECON STRENGTHENS CLINICAL TRIALS TEAM
Brecon Pharmaceuticals has strengthened its clinical trials team with three new appointments.
Rachel James is promoted from Clinical Trials Executive to Senior Project Manager, Clinical Trials. Rachel is a qualified pharmacy technician with ten years experience in both hospital and industrial environments and will now head-up Brecon's Clinical Trial Project Management team. Apart from her overall management role, Rachel will take responsibility for preparing trial specifications and liasing with clients on a daily basis to ensure all requirements are met.
David Witts is appointed Clinical Trials Project Manager and joins Brecon from Cognitive Drug Research, where he was Head of Quality and Business Development. David is a pharmacologist and has 20 years experience in the contract research sector, with specialist expertise in Phase 1 to 3 clinical research. His knowledge and experience of both business development and quality systems provides him with a unique insight into customer needs and the procedures required to fulfil those needs in the production environment.
Robyn Wood joins Brecon as Clinical Trials Co-ordinator, a role he most recently performed for AstraZeneca. Robyn is an applied chemist and has extensive experience in the international co-ordination of clinical trials at all phases of development. He also held responsibility for the introduction of Non Centre Specific Labelling across AstraZeneca worldwide and was closely involved with the introduction of a new IT system to support the clinical trial development process.
